In an increasingly complex digital environment, media literacy has become a key skill for young people to critically analyse information, understand the impact of digital platforms and actively participate in society.
With this objective in mind, Pixel Media was created, a European initiative funded by the Creative Europe programme, which promotes critical thinking and media literacy through innovative methodologies such as game-based learning, digital resources and practical tools for educators. The initiative develops an educational ecosystem that includes a video game, a digital library and training materials designed for direct work with young people.
As part of this initiative, Rinova is launching Pixel Media Lab, a professional development programme aimed at educators, youth workers, social professionals and students who work directly with young people aged 16 and over. Pixel Media Lab is offering three full scholarships to participate in an international bootcamp in Sofia (20-24 April 2026), combined with mentoring, practical application in real contexts and an international EQF level 5 certification in media education.
Pixel Media Lab is designed not only to strengthen participants’ skills, but also to generate real impact on the groups of young people they work with, supporting critical, creative and responsible media education.
