New Beginnings: Supporting Migrant Entrepreneurs

New Beginnings: Supporting Migrant Entrepreneurs

New Beginnings emerges as a powerful Erasmus+ initiative to transform migrants’ stories and skills into viable businesses.

This is a significant step forward in helping migrants to become entrepreneurs. The program trains coaches and professionals working with migrant communities through both online and in-person workshops and offers an online platform with tailored modules for aspiring migrant entrepreneurs.

Objective

The New Beginnings aims at developing a business training programme which will help migrants harness their differences and stories for setting up and growing businesses. The main point of departure will be to maximise the experience, knowledge and skills of migrants and use these for business ideas and business growth. We will be using their migration as their unique selling proposition.

Expected results

  • 4 workshops (online or face to face) to train coaches/volunteers/ workers dealing with migrant populations
  • 4 online modules on an e-learning platform,
  • 4 workshops to train entrepreneurial migrants (with a focus on female migrants) to enhance business skills. Matching guidelines will be produced acknowledging intercultural sensitivities, exclusion and intersectionality.
