CULTURAD Final Conference

CULTURAD is a European project implemented by 6 partners from 4 European countries (Spain, Italy, Cyprus and Greece) focused on ‘enhancing European cultural and creative practices to empower civic engagement and address the risk of radicalisation among youth’. The project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme and has a duration from 01/11/2022 to 31/10/2024.

Final conference in Bilbao (Spain)

The University of the Basque Country is organising the Final Conference of the CULTURAD project and it will take place next Thursday 24th October, from 9:00 am, in the Juliana Agirrezaba room of the Faculty of Education Sciences (Leioa Campus), during the event the activities developed during the two years of the project will be disseminated and the partner organisations from Spain, Italy, Greece and Cyprus will briefly present the results in each country.

Two local initiatives of social inclusion in the framework of the project will also be presented:
‘textile cartographies: intertwined stories of women of the world’ and the presentation of the.
‘women’s fanzine’. At 12 noon, the Zenbatu community theatre will perform ‘Under the Bridge’.
‘Under the Bridge’.
The event is free and open to the entire student and local community in general.

Milestones achieved:

    • The training package in 4 languages (EN, GR, ES, IT) comprising a training course

      composed of 6 modules on European artistic and cultural pedagogies to increase civic engagement and reduce the risks of radicalisation, and an electronic toolbox of open resources with 60 relevant resources: real-life case studies, practical activities, videos and guidance material.

      An online ‘train-the-trainer’ workshop that trained 21 trainers from 4 countries on the course and toolkit.

      A multilingual interactive e-learning platform with the digitised training course CULTURAD

      CULTURAD, as well as a peer mentoring section to enhance cross-sectoral collaborations and strengthen the quality of youth work, available at www.culturad.eu;

      training sessions in each partner country for capacity building of youth education professionals

      youth education professionals (with official recognition certified through Youthpass) and subsequent workshops with more than 100 young people across the consortium;

      Two virtual round tables with the participation of more than 50 professionals from the youth sector.

      A guide with practical recommendations to address the risk of radicalisation among young people with cultural and artistic practices, enhancing their European civic engagement.
